On 28th May in Queen Anne High, Dunfermline, Education Scotland, in partnership with British Council Scotland launched a new website entitled Learners International.

This is a new and innovative resource developed to promote high quality international engagement across Scotland and beyond.  It was designed to align with the Scottish Government’s International Strategy, Education Scotland’s International Strategy and the British Council Scotland’s approach to supporting international school engagement.

It supports Scottish educational institutions to form productive international partnerships and improve the quality of experiences for learners so young people can develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes to compete effectively in global markets.

Learners International is a one-stop shop for all matters international, including resources, examples of best practice and a self-evaluation tool to improve practice and outcomes for learners.

The first phase is now launched and will be tested and evaluated by practitioners across Scotland before the end of the school year.  This close partnership working ensures the site is accessible and meets user requirements.  The second phase of the site will focus on the internationalisation of young people in the senior phase and beyond including colleges and community learning and development. It links closely with the British Council Erasmus+ programme.
