The Learning Technologies Awards has published its shortlists for its upcoming 2016 awards programme with 200 individual organisations from across the world represented in eighteen awards categories.  Outstanding projects and products from over 15 different countries are among those who made the 2016 shortlist.  

Entries were received from a huge range of sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, finance, transport, utilities, retail, leisure, and communications, as well as national and international government, major public and membership bodies and leading international education brands.

The Awards are split across 18 categories:

  • Best learning technologies project - commercial sector
  • Best learning technologies project - public and non-profit sector
  • Excellence in the design of learning content - commercial sector
  • Excellence in the design of learning content - public and non-profit sector
  • Best use of mobile learning
  • Best use of social and collaborative learning technologies
  • Best use of learning technologies to ensure compliance
  • Most innovative new learning technologies product - UK
  • Most innovative new learning technologies product - international
  • Best learning game
  • Best use of simulations or virtual environments for learning
  • Best online distance learning programme
  • Best blended learning project - commercial sector
  • Best blended learning project - public and non-profit sector
  • Best enterprise learning platform implementation
  • Learning technologies designer of the year
  • Learning technologies team of the year
  • Learning technologies supplier of the year

Shortlisted nominees now face the judging panel again in a series of presentations, taking place in London and online, during September and early October.  The winners will be unveiled at the gala evening on 30 November.
