The education and training of a sales force forms the foundation of any successful company. Without it, market share will be lost and new opportunities overlooked. Alliance Members, eCom Scotland are delighted to have been working with Andrew Carnegie Business School to enable them to deliver a multi-mode suite of sales programmes allowing sales teams to confidently undertake their studies in a way that suits the work environment. The blended approach includes an online package developed by eCom Scotland that provides much needed support to the sales and marketing functions across all sectors of industry and commerce.
The launch of the new online package for the ISMM level 3 Diploma in Sales and Marketing is to be held at the Andrew Carnegie Business School on the 28th March 2014. At the event you will hear from other sales professionals about the positive impact sales training has had on their careers, the Andrew Carnegie Business School Team will explain about the range of qualifications available, of course showcasing our new online package for the Level 3 Diploma and how this will be of benefit to businesses.
North East Scotland College is seeking a partner to develop and market a range of high quality work-based learning opportunities to employers and individuals.
The successful tenderer would work with the college to identify training needs across agreed industry sectors, develop flexible learning materials to meet that need, and market and administer resulting learning opportunities.
The College currently offers a range of blended learning courses delivered to businesses and organisations in the North East of Scotland and Central Scotland areas. We offer courses in subject areas such as Customer Care, Health & Social Care, Health & Safety, Management and Professional Development with enrolments totalling approximately 4,000 in an academic year.
The courses on offer are short 12-14 week programmes which involve learners undertaking distance learning but with tutor support. The tutor support takes the form of induction with a learner and then progress meetings with the learner, within the workplace, on two or three occasions during the 12-14 weeks. The tutors are contracted to the College.
Deadline date for submission of tenders is 14 April.
The contract will be for 3 years.

eLearning Alliance Member, Create eLearning, are building a new eLearning platform and are moving close to launch.
Their next stage of development is to gather feedback on their platform to date from the wider community, so the folks at Create are holding three focus group sessions on 28th March at The Lighthouse in Glasgow to give you the opportunity to feed into the eLearning platform development in real time, while the development team listen to YOUR input.
Each session is the same, so you only have to attend one to give your input.
The day’s sessions will be followed by a drinks reception at 4.30pm, also in The Lighthouse, as a thank you for your continued support and for your contribution on the day.

This years D14 event will be held at the SECC in Glasgow on May 29th and 30th. This is the fourth year that Interactive Scotland will be running the event, and is aimed at supporting the growth of the digital media sector in Scotland.
This years D14 show will have four themes, one of which is Education and they organisers are looking for companies who are doing something “cool” in the digital education arena to showcase in the Education area of the event .
Anyone who participates in the event will be given brand exposure on the D14 website showcase pages and on an eblast being issued to 3,000+ individuals.
Scotland’s digital technologies sector will benefit from £6.6 million to boost its internationally renowned reputation for cutting-edge expertise.
The funding will support digital skills and address actions set out in the information and communications technology (ICT) and digital technologies Skills Investment Plan.
The plan includes actions such as:
- Responding to the immediate skills shortage by developing an industry led talent academy model in summer 2014 to support the demand of up to 11,000 jobs per year
- Offering more opportunities to increase female participation in the digital sector
- Aligning education systems to employers need and supporting employer engagement with schools
- Delivering 750 work placements for FE/HE students by 2016
