Long term Alliance Member, Norman Lamont will be joining us at Learning Essentials Conference on 31st October which we're holding at West Lothian College.  During his session, Norman will discuss how we go about designing eLearning, and more specifically how Action Mapping can help us look at this process differently.

During Learning Essentials Norman will share ideas about instructional design, and more specifically Action Mapping, which Norman describes as a quick-moving and visual way to start a learning project.

Norman has worked closely with Action Mapping's inventor, Cathy Moore and used the method extensively at Lloyds Banking Group.

Prior to working with Lloyds Banking Group, Norman has had spells with Britannia Building Society, Scottish Widows, Lloyds TSB, and in this time he has come across all types of e-learning.  It is Normans belief, that Action Mapping can change the way we design and develop our elearning solutions.

Action Mapping is a guided conversation with sponsors, subject experts and recent learners which will steer you towards relevant, engaging and active learning experiences, with measurable outcomes for the organisation, and away from information dumps and endless page-turners.

During Learning Essentials Norman will talk us through his experience of Action Mapping and show us the method at work.

Learning Essentials 2014 takes place at West Lothian College on 31st October.  The cost for Alliance Members to attend the days event is only £99.
